Helmet is an American rock band formed in New York City by Page Hamilton (vocals/guitar) with Henry Bogdan (bass), Peter Mengede (guitar) and John Stanier (drums) in 1989. In the 19 years since its inception, Helmet has had numerous lineup changes, and Hamilton has been the only constant member. Helmet has released six studio albums and two compilations. The band found mainstream success with their 1992 major label debut Meantime, which debuted at number 68 on the Billboard 200 and spawned the hits "Unsung" and "In the Meantime".

Unboxing OSBE Rufus Motorcycle HelmetMay 16, 2012
UPDATE: Watch my "Multiple Viewpoints & Angles" video to see this helmet in action at the 1:26 mark. Just picked up my new OSBE Rufus XXL motorcycle helmet today that I got off eBay, so made this quick "unboxing" video. The similarities between this helmet an actual fighter pilot helmet is probably the main reason why I bought it in the first place. It is one kickass looking helmet. Complies with ECE 22.05 helmet safety laws in Europe, which means it's allowed here in Canada by DOT or Snell standards. (The YouTube captions will make you laugh!) NOT recommended for long distance road trips, high-speed travel, or windy days. The mask isn't held on securely so it may expose your mouth and chin during windy rides. As I experienced recently, the mask part of the helmet kept blowing open by the 100 km/h winds, so I kept getting bombarded by dirt/sand/pebbles.

Helmet creations by Thai www.youtube.com What started the custom helmet craze? It started when I purchased a hologram visor insert from Andy's motorcycle. After I installed the insert into one my lids, I started adding teeth and mohawk spikes to the helmet. My brother-in-law suggested one year, that I attach my Halloween costume Darth Vader - to one of my Shoei lids.. I agreed, and that was the re-birth of tigerpause444 helmets. I created 1 helmet annually from the year 2000. I've completed 16 up to date (I went a little crazy in the past 3 years and created more than just 1 in a year). Do you have any goals with your creations? I feel the lids are art. I wouldn't mind exhibiting them at some art show. I want all my riding friends to join me on the next Toys for Tots ride while sporting all the custom lids.. Last year, I could only get 4 bikers to go. I want to experiment with skater helmets next.. I see them as a multi-age, multi-use helmets (skate boarders, roller bladers, and other sidewalk roll sports). A much broader market. maybe even make some $$$ Why do you make these helmets? It's fun to hide under a helmet. Nobody knows who I am. To see kids with their noses pressed up on the inside of a car window is awesome. to see passengers bust out their cameras and phone cameras is cool. to work on a creative project with my 5 year old son...
